( Ongoing posts from diary of Grace, a lady boomer, living her life's adventure in a remote area of the Andes Mountains of Ecuador ) ![]() Photo from Grace " Today, my friend Hugo wanted to plant more bananas on his mountain. I had lots of baby ones, so he came over about 7am to dig them out. They are very heavy as they are mostly water in the stocks. There was Hugo and two workers. They spent a couple of hours getting them ready to go and then Hugo brought Negro, his black horse, to pack them up the mountain. It is a heavy load, but the horse doesn't seem to mind at all. The horses in this area are well looked after, and used most days for transportation and farming."
