War Bride - On her wedding day.
It has been only a few short years since my mother died. Just before she died, my last words to here were that I had begun to write an article entitled "Lessons from the Twinkle in My Mother's Eyes" . She laughed at the thought that anyone would write about her; but, I know that she felt my love. I have not yet been able to complete the article because the emotion is still too strong and clouds my thoughts. Someday ....
This Mother's Day, let us all take the time to honour Mothers, yours and all the others whose love and sacrifice carries humanity.
I have take some quotes and a poem that I assembled from an internet search and offer them for my mother. Whether your mother is in this world or another, tell her of you love and appreciation. For your own moments of meditation and reflection, there are many thoughtful poems about mothers on the internet.
I carry from my mother's womb a fanatic's heart.

My mother had a great deal of trouble with me, but I think she enjoyed it.

Your Mother Is Always With You
by Unknown Author
Your mother is always with you...
She's the whisper of the leaves
as you walk down the street.
She's the smell of bleach in
your freshly laundered socks.
She's the cool hand on your
brow when you're not well.
Your mother lives inside
your laughter. She's crystallized
in every tear drop...
She's the place you came from,
your first home.. She's the map you
follow with every step that you take.
She's your first love and your first heart
break....and nothing on earth can separate you.
Not time, Not space...
Not even death....
will ever separate you
from your mother....
You carry her inside of you....
