This Christmas season has been filled with the company and warmth of friends, all wishing to share their best wishes for others.  Personally, I made rounds with gifts for some poor families that I know and dined with loved ones.  I also I joined with members of the Rotary Club de San Francisco, in hosting a Christmas Party for 150 children from a remote village, high in the Andes Mountains, at a Quito amusement park.  Just leaving their village was a treat for them; but, the arrival of Santa and the Disney World like environment lit up their eyes and filled the air with screams of childish delight.  You can imagine !    They definitely made my Christmas very special.

While, by the name of the holiday period, it is a Christian holiday celebration, this season is also a time when others join in praying for improvement in the human condition and plan for the New Year.  Let us all adopt the simple message, commonly shared  -  Care for and treat others as we would like to be.
